A reduced yarding today with 1262 head yarded. A mixed quality yarding, meet with more de- mand. Meatworks cattle made some gains with bullocks topping at 282ckg a rise of 7ckg on last week’s offering. The quality of cattle at today’s sale was back a little as well. Fat cows made some good gains as well with a top of 246ckg to up around 15ckg. Not a big lot of store cattle to- day but what was offered sold to a dearer market. Store steers topped at 299ckg for some EU types. Feeder steers also gained ground reaching 304ckg also for EU eligible steers. Heifers were up also with a top of 268ckg

 Sale Highlights: Mt Flora Cattle Co ‘Mt Flora’ Nebo sold a run of Brahman cross cows to a top of 234ckg to average 230ckg to return $1102 per head. Keith Hoare ‘Maryvale’ Rubyvale sold some Brah- man cross steers to make 272ckg for a return of $615 per head. Vex Grazing, ‘Mt Vexation’ Springsure sold Brahman cross cows for 245ckg weighing 534kg to return $1308 per head, Laurie & Hastings Haw- kins ‘Serpentine’ Springsure sold Droughtmaster steers to $280ckg weighing 405kg or $1134, The O’Shannessy Family ‘Bellevue’ Clermont sold #4 Brahman heifers for 242ckg weighing 264kg or $638. Andy and Sam Bulger ‘Serento’ The Willows, sold very good quality Droughtmaster/Brangus x feeder steers weighing 413kg to average 274ckg and $1134 per head. Natalia Brownlie ‘Lochmead’ Emerald sold Euro x steers to 281ckg to weigh 590kg and gross $1659 per head, Neil and Belinda Jaques ‘Logie’ Bogantungan sold D/Master x heifers to 268ckg to weigh 355kg and gross $953 per head, Rich- ard & Robert Lewis ‘’Wilga Downs’’ Emerald sold D/Master x cows to 242ckg to weigh 576kg and gross $1396 per head.
